Hello there and welcome back to the Puerto Rico Gran Canaria blog. We thought it was time for another little update on Puerto Rico Shopping Center and how it’s looking today.
These pics were taken this afternoon Sunday 12th September 2021 on a hot and hazy day. Today is the last day of the school Summer holidays in Gran Canaria and kids are officially back to school tomorrow for the first time since June.
Puerto Rico beach was packed along with most of our favourite coffee shops and bars. We managed to find a table in Coco’s Bar, which soon filled up with people eager to enjoy a Menu del DÃa of Seafood soup or grilled chicken with mushroom sauce. Delicious!
It’s much busier than our last photo blog walk about in August, more bars and restaurants are open and thankfully more customers.
Along the main ramp on the entrance to the shopping center, there is now a unisex salon called Afrodita Beauty Center. This has everything from facials, to massage, hair, waxing and eyebrow tints. They now have signage up with prices.
On the other side of the main ramp and stairs we have a shop that sells everything from beach towels to Fjallraven Kanken style backpacks, sandals and I Love Gran Canaria t-shirts. The center has changed a lot but it’s always good to see one of these typical souvenir shops, where you can grab a few bits and bobs.
Last but not least we have the view of the entrance to the shopping center from the path that leads to La Bolera Restaurant and Puerto Rico park.
