Amadores Beach Club Spa – Puerto Rico Gran Canaria

The PRGC team took the day off yesterday and disconnected at Amadores Beach Club Spa, on Amadores Beach in Puerto Rico. We were greeted at the small reception area where the areas of the spa were explained to us. There is a 10€ deposit per towel, which you get back once you have paid your final bill.

The sunloungers are all different prices, depending on levels of comfort, so starting from 12€ each lounger up to the super duper luxury cabaña which costs 300€ and has it’s own small pool.

Luxury Cabaña

All guests have access to the large swimming pool with massaging jets and jacuzzis, toilets and showers and hairdryer. Chill out music and sun lounger waiter service via a little doorbell, which you press when you need a drink or food, then you pay at the end.

Whether you just want a chill out day, a treat or something a bit different on holiday then we fully recommend a visit to Amadores Beach Club Spa.

Puerto Rico Sunday Market – 10/03/13

The Sunday market in Puerto Rico park seems to have gained much popularity since we last visited and we love how many people it is bringing to the nearby bars and restaurants too.

The traditional market is every other Sunday in the park near to Arts and Sand the new other feature to the park. The stall holders all wear traditional Canarian clothing and sell fresh produce like aniseed bread, olives and fruit.

After a stroll round the market, we wanted a refreshing drink and it was no surprise that nearby Tango and La Bolera area was packed to the brim! There was entertainment on and everybody was enjoying a sing song!

Carrying on through the crowd, we thought to try out the new Cafelito Bar on the corner of the Shopping Center. They do a great cafe con leche and the interior is interesting too.

Who can believe it is February when we have such beautiful weather here in Gran Canaria? Amadores Beach was particularly inviting this afternoon as we took a drive down there.

The temperatures are fantastic for this time of year, blue skies as you can see and perfect for just laying on the beach and relaxing with a good book.

New Nightly Market for Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico has yet another new market! The new nightly market in the park area of Puerto Rico near to La Bolera is on every evening from 6pm. We checked out the market on Thursday 24th January and there was plenty of interest from passing tourists, as they browsed the stalls which offer, handmade soaps, belts, jewellery and a selection of handmade goods.
